This documentary focusses on children born after the 1990's. Through urbanization and industrialization 200 million migrants have to find jobs in big cities. As a consequence, around 58 million children are left with their grandparents in the rural countryside. The internal passport system, called Hukou System, makes it impossible for children to receive education in the cities of migrant workers.
Looking at a family with two children that are coming into adulthood, the documentary is an intimate portrait of these children. The vast economical changes created a huge gap between the children's and the previous generations. It has brought obstacles for the three generations but the ones who really have to deal with a new reality are the children.

My Favourite Supermarket - Documentary
Director: Ling Lee - Editor: Gideon Gold - Sound Designer: George Lingford - Composer: Geoff Hannan

Up to 20 million tonnes of edible food waste is created each year in Britain.
There has been a research on how much food waste households produce but the government hasn't dared to look at the grotesquely disproportional food waste offences being committed by supermarkets every day.
This short documentary looks at how supermarkets deal with their food from insight the supermarkets but also from around the back.
