As a mother of three children, and a natural sceptic, it takes a serious health scare before Amy Hardie takes the dream seriously. Told through home-movies and animation, this film follows what could be the last year of a woman's life. A dream about a warning can be understood in many ways, and the shock of the death sentence forces the film into fields as far apart as neuro-science; shamanism; psychotherapy; dream symbolism; the biosphere, and back again, to intimate, ordinary family life, with its strains and pleasures, daily drudgeries and unexptected fun.
